1. Introduce yourself.
My name is Sharifah Hakimah, currently studying in UiTM Puncak Alam. I usually have have a hard time finishing a normal meal from mcdonalds thus the reason why I always opted for the happy meal instead.

2. How would you rate yourself in terms of your computer skills? (e.g. expert, novice, savvy, geek, illiterate etc)
If I were to rate myself in term of my computer skills, I'd probably say that I'm at least a tech-savvy person. An intermediate tech-savvy. Maybe.

3.
What computer software and hardware knowledge do you have?
I literally have no idea. But hopefully by the end of this course I'll be able to gain more knowledge on this!

4. How do you think technology can assist learners learn a 2nd or a foreign language? (Do not Google the answer)

Technology helps A LOT. The most prominent answers would surely be on how it can help to cater better to the different types of learners and also to garner learner's attention (longer attention span, attractive and interactive visual and activities, etc.)

5. Have you experienced learning via the computer (online courses, using courseware, websites etc)?
Yes, classes in universities does integrate a lot of this. 10/10 would recommend.

6. Did you try to incorporate technology in some of your lessons during your practicum? Was it a success or a failure? If you did not, what was/were the reason(s)?
I did try but due to the very limited resources in the school, I wasn't able to incorporate it thoroughly. And after that, I barely got any other chance to incorporate technology in my teaching. I wouldn't say that it was a complete success nor a failure. But one obvious thing is that it definitely peaked up the students interest during the lesson and for that, I am very grateful.

7. What is your opinion/prediction/perception on the use of technology in language teaching and learning?

I think that it is a very good and convenient way to learn. It also helps the teachers to save time and increase their productivity (i.e. less preparation time; more teaching time). But it still depends on the learners themselves. Sure you can integrate it often during the teaching and learning process, but it doesn't necessarily has to be 100% because some pupils still prefer the chalk and talk method. (probably me).

8. What do you hope to learn/gain from this course?

I hope that I will gain more knowledge on topics and/or aspects related to technology in teaching and learning so that I can plan and execute them better in the future.

9. What is the topic chosen for your Academic Exercise? Why have you chosen the topic? Who is your supervisor?  How do you plan to complete your AE so that it follows the designated processes (chapter by chapter) and can be submitted on time?

My ae topic is related to the form 1&2 English textbook (PULSE) and the compatibility of the content parallel to CEFR and the Malaysian context. I still didn't know who my supervisor is, so, I don't feel like worrying about it now, but I'd probably think about this later at the last minute and have a mental breakdown.
